Do any of you guys have experience with large scaled printing?
More and more builders are switching over to PDF's every week. They used to come into the office and hand you a ******* 3'x4' paper print that had ALL the information on it that you could read! Now they just shoot you over a PDF file that YOU have to either print and tape together, or pay to have printed.
Some jobs we send out to a buddy of ours to print and it varies between $10-$30, but last week we sent him a crazy one and it came to almost $100. Not a huge expense, but a wasted one when you don't end up getting the job.
So, I'm thinking its time to invest in our own blueprint printer/plotter. Only problem is, I know diddly dick about them and I'm not trying to spend $5k on one either.
Any advice on the matter is greatly appreciated!
