Default Looks like I'm out $350 and my turbo.....

Son of a bitch! This ******* guy is killing me!! I wanted to talk with him about the condition of my turbo and the total amount it was gonna cost me to have the work done. The shady bitch won't respond to my emails after almost a entire week, nor will he pick up the phone....ever. He's had the turbo for close to a month now and hasn't even told me what the teardown status was yet.

So now he's got my turbo and $350 that I sent via PayPal. I told him via email that if I didn't hear from him by end of business day today that I was going to file a claim and contact the BBB. I just don't understand people sometimes. ******* guy was all about being my buddy and talking with me at first, now its just like they closed up shop.

I am toying with the idea of taking a drive down to NC overnight, and showing up at the shop, but that's kind of drastic. I would only work myself up the entire drive, get there, and probably throw him through a ******* window.

How some people stay in business is beyond me...

And the funny thing is, I was going to originally go with Gpopshop, too bad I didn't. So now I might need to source another turbo and start this over again. So much for having the car running by next weekend. **** like this makes me want to throw on headers and call it a day.

Showing up on a Saturday probably won't do anything. But waiting in the parking lot by 8 AM on Monday morning might be meaningful. Especially with a bat.

Deadbolt Enterprises located in Marshall, NC. The owner Jerry was great at first.....now I don't know what to think. I am going to wait until 5pm today until I call PayPal.

That's the website. Lower righthand side of the page indicates "Communications: Having Difficulties"... check it out. Maybe not their fault. It also still says "We'll be closed for Christmas"... shitty webmaster.

I met them at an event once, they seemed pretty snobby to me, but I heared they do good work. You need to dig deeper, find if they have other phone numbers, ask around, they are a pretty big company.

Yea, Jerry told me that it was because sometimes he doesn't get emails through charter.net, so I have been using the aol.com one or both.

Communication was fine, until they got the turbo and the three fity. Not saying they are a scam, I did my homework on them and I read alot of great **** about them from the subie guys. But WTF, how hard is it to send back an email explaining to me whats going on. I even called the place a couple times and all I get is this ******* machine saying they will be closed May 5th, and back on the 6th.

Alot of the guys on the MSM board have dealt with deadbolt for upgrading the stock IHI units. Please keep us posted as to the outcome of your situation.

You want me to take care of it for you?
Just send me $150 to my PayPall account, and I'll take care of your problem for you.
I must have the money first!

I wish you would have said something before sending it away. Deadbolt fucked me over too. I didn't lose $350, only $50 + shipping both ways. He kept my turbo for 2 months and then sent it back disassembled with parts missing when I raised hell with him. Complete ******* in my opinion.

That's weird. Deadbolt is known for terrific service on NASIOC.

Seems strange that his reputation varies so much between sites.

rmcelwee: Son of a bitch!!!! lol....that's fucked man. I wish I knew this...lol. Did he not return emails and phone calls? Kinda put you off for a little, string you along like a **** would, then one day that's it. This is raising my blood pressure AS WE SPEAK!!!!

Handy Mann: Is this really his house number? How'd you get it? If it is.....maybe that's not that inappropriate, considering my situation. Thanks man, maybe I will!

deliverator: Yes! Exactly! The subie guys love deadbolt. That's where I read all the great **** about them. I don't understand whats going on.

If I had the money. I would leave construction and open something like that. I bet there is money in it and if customer service is good, you could make some serious money. Too bad some of these entrepreneurs lose interest in giving a **** after it becomes old to them.

Now I need to figure out WTF TO DO!!!!!

Well I woke up this morning with an email back from Jerry. He was a little bit of a dickface in the email, so I'm glad we wont be doing business together. This is part of his email;

"This thing is so bad that the center section and wheels need to be replaced. I have contacted all the US Mitsubishi distributors, as well as the master distributors in 3 other countries trying to find the parts you need. I have logged about 8 hours this week trying to find the parts to put this turbo back together but they just aren't out there right now."

I don't know how true any of this is but I need to figure out what I am going to do now. I'm guessing that he will send it back torn apart, hopefully not with parts missing.

I'm in the process now of getting ahold of Gpopshop and see if they can help me. Anyone else have any ideas?

Join NASIOC and PM him about it there.

If that fails to get a timely response, post a "is anyone else having trouble with deadbolt?" thread and explain the issues. They're not MT.net, though, so I'd suggest not mentioning buttsex or dude-on-sheep action in the thread.

Again, though, I'm really surprised that you're having this much trouble with them.

Guillaume at Blaastperformance is a good rebuilder with a good rep at homemadeturbo.com but he's in Canada so shipping to and from will probably cost more and rates might be up since the dollar sucks against the Canadian dollar.

That is a total bullshit e-mail. I can think of 3 or 4 shop off the top of my head that carry mitsu turbo parts.

Forcedperformance
Slowboyracing
Bushur Racing

They all rebuild mitsu turbos, I highly doubt that the greddy Mitsu turbo is so unique that he can't find parts. Sound like he is just dicking you around.

If his parts rep was any good or he was a good paying customer he would have had an answer in a day or two, and wouldn't have logged any time. Ask for the turbo and the money back.

Yea, well once I get the turbo back in my hands I plan on filling a claim through PayPal. Guy was a total waste of my time and if I lived closer I would go down to his shop and scream in his ******* face.

But something good did come from this, I just went ahead and sent Leebo my down payment on his FM3! So now I will be going a completely different route, and so far I think it was for the better!

**** DEADBOLT....they are deadbeats....
