Dont get used to it. Oil is back up to $90 after dropping just under $88 yesterday. Of course gas stations will change their prices right away.

OPEC can suck my left nut. If gas ever becomes a big enough problem, I'm converting to something else. Hell, I'll run E85 even if I do dislike it. I refuse to make myself a victim to some ************* that need to maintain their dusty *** mansions (and exotic cars) in the desert.
We're looking for cures on Cancer and deseases that tickle your happy spot, but what about the important stuff? Why not a synthetic gasoline? Or even maybe modify corn oil, so it behaves more like petrol. I'll stick with Genital warts if it means I pay a dollar per gallon*. If we can clone a sheep or yours truly, we can find a way to modify and duplicate a molecule that will burn to high hell. And I'm not saying its going to be cheap initially. I'd back it, if they could make a variety of octanes, and change the amount of energy released when burned. And if they could make it perform like 87 octane petroleum, or even E85 if running a vehicle that requires it.
Get some scientists high, let them brainstorm for a while and see what they come up with. We made nuclear power and we made the fleshlight. I think fully synthetic fuel is next on our list.
*Disclaimer: 944o does not in fact have an itchy happy spot.

When I bought my Jeep in 99, I could fill it up for $20. Those days will never come back but prices will go down a bit. I hope they at least go down to $3 for my Moab trip next week.
