because eventually I'll need it to tune MS. I suck at spending money, I'm such a tight-***.

Cheapest you could find? Maybe you're using it for other things, but how much "computer power" (that's as technical as I get) is needed for MS?

I've been keeping my eyes open for about two years and I recently found one. Little beat up, but 100 bucks.

I payed $1600 for a perfectly running 1991 miata with a hard-top, and couldn't sleep for a week after dropping that much cash.

office depot had a compaq with an amd sempron 3000, 512mb ram, 60gb hd, 1yr warranty, CDRW/DVD at $275 after rebate in a flyer a couple of weeks ago. Granted it's a cheap computer, but at the price it's a good deal on a cheap computer.

I just bought a laptop last week for $600. Almost new, used 2 weeks. Dual core intel, 1.5gb ram, 120gb HD, dvdrw, 15.4" glossy screen, free vista upgrade. You just gotta look around for a deal, they comeup quite often especially for stuff like this.

I hear ya about being cheap...

My turbo setup is going to end up costing me more than my car did. Looks like the turbo setup will be somewhere around $1400.

Don't buy anything thats not a dual core.. to be honest that would be stupid at this point as most of the rest of the crap is becoming fast outdated "aka core solo". Just watch slickdeals.net or gottadeal.com and run it by us. RAM is always easily upgraded, but processor not so much.

Unfortunately for you I just sold my beast notebook for 600.
