most of the girls that got cars like that @ 16 at my school wound up getting drunk, letting drunk football players wreck the car, and/or got knocked up by 17. it's like paying $50K to guaranty a loss on your "investment" and the failure of your child.

My kids will eventually end up with first cars like my first car. A $1500 antique that barely runs. If they put the work into it to keep it running and fix it up they can sell it and keep the profit for a down payment on a new one when they are ready.

I just cant believe that it has gone on for 7 pages know. Do they really give a fuck what he buys his daughter. Oh and if it were me, my daughter would be taking the bus for a few years so that when she does get a car she will hopefully have respect and appreciation for it.
