About a year ago, a neighbor of mine (the guy who owned the garage where we kept the bar) told me that he'd seen a couple of those at the local Autozone, and we thought it would make an amusing addition to our poolside bar-on-wheels. Already had four electric blenders, but the thought of firing that baby up on the big days when half the apartment complex was out partying amused us.
The next day we went to buy one, and were told that they'd just received a memo from corporate that morning, instructing them to pull 'em all from the shelves and halt sales. Apparently CARB sent a letter to all retailers in the state informing them that the blender was not emissions compliant and that they would start levying fines against any establishment found selling them.
Bummer.
