Default Merry ******* Christmas

So I'm living with my parents right now, they just built a gorgeous house that's awesome, heated hardwood floors, great scenery, media room with 5.1 surround and projector, huge kitchen, the works. Unfortunately they didn't have enough money to build a garage. Thankfully, they're awesome parents and bought me metal tube/canvas car park to put my tools, miata, motorcycle, and quad in. (yes, it all fits.) It not the best, but it worked, every once in a while I'd have to pull out a vehicle or two to work on another, but I got the job done. My dad and I laid a couple 4x4's down and a bunch of old tongue-and-groove board on top of those for flooring, it was actually a nice setup.

Then this stupid ******* sadistic ***** of a storm rolled in and apparently didn't like my tent.:va sh:

the carnage, after looking out my window and seeing it collapsed at 4:30 in the morning, and working for 2.5 hours to get my stuff unburied:

That's the middle of the passenger window, where one of the tubes fell and left a nice crack. its really the only damage to speak of thank god, even my bike managed to stay up somehow. The whole thing fell on my sister's geo metro thats in the background, it took most of the damage with a large dent on the rear fender, thankfully she know's its a crappy car and isn't pissed about it. Winter sucks.

Just so you dont feel so bad I had a similar experience. A piece of my garages roof fell on my car putting 3 nice dents into my flawless hood and scratching my bumper last weekend.

**** happens, its just a chunk of metal.

Here's a picture of all my toys plus a glimpse at what it used to look like. notice all the stuff in the previous pictures is contained within the garage.

everything but the lancer fit, its my DD and gets plenty of abuse, it can survive the ice/snow just fine.

That corner where the remains of my exhaust is in front of the bike and to the left of the miata is where the quad went, now its sitting on my parent's front porch, I drove all the way into town on it the other day, about 10 miles.

That first picture reminds me of my tent that fell on my car this past summer. Mine was way more lightweight and I only used it for shade while I worked on the car. Collapsed around the car and put about 25 scratches in the paint. Needless to say I destroyed the remainder of the bastard and that was that.

Thats hardcore that it cracked the hardtop bro. I'd be uber pissed.

yeah, I remembered about yours, especially when I used the :: smiley. the weight of the snow/ice is what collapsed it, also what provided the force required to crack the hard top. the previous owner drove off with it unlached, so there were already some cracks and the glass window shattered, that's why I have a lexan window. the cracks from the PO were repairs, but this opened them back up sadly.

I'm not terribly pissed, its a race car. aesthetically it sucks though. maybe time for a roll cage? lol, gotta look at the bright side....

nope, no bright side. stupid ice.

Damn. That sucks. I only have a 2 car garage and 3 cars. I just found a gal in Stafford that has something like 30 enlosed parking spaces she's renting out for $75 a space. Don't know if that might help. I moved my 69 Buick GS out there last week. For indoor vehicle storage that's about as reasonable and close to you as I've seen.

Crazy story with her. The place is on acreage in stafford. Has a huge (15 car) heated building with offices above. Has an 18 car garage with a guest house above. Has another building good for another 10-12 cars. This doesn't include the HUGE home. Guy embezeled 40 Mil over several years and was a car nut. He had something like 60 high dollar collector cars on the property when he got caught. She bought the place in the Gov't auction when they confiscated everything.

I have my old car project stored in a harbor freight tent and it got mad and tried to fly away on me one day. The wind picked up the front of the tent and set it up on the hood to rub the paint off the center of the hood and scrape up both fenders. It could have flown away but the center of it has a tiny brace all the way across that was caught under the center of the car.

I had tie downs on all four corners going to some beefy eye hooks screwed into my decking, worked good for the wind, not so much for the heavy *** snow/ice.

Someone backed into my car a few days ago and busted the crap out of the taillight. Some crap always seems to happen when it gets closer to the holidays.

The work cleaning all that up sucks but the worst thing is the damn cracked HT and any other damage. That's a pisser. Let me know about the lady with the storage space. I hope that can work out for you.

The A-hole that built the place she's in embezzeled 40+ million dollars from his clients in his investment business. I just looked him up on the net. He built this outrageous place. Lived high on the hog for years. Put together an enormous muscle car collection. Bankrupted numerous clients and stole their life savings. For this he is spending 2 years in jail and will be out on parole soon. My god our justice system sucks. A couple rocks of crack get you that. This guy destroyed lives and flaunted it. Pays to be white collar if you are going to be a criminal.
