I'm frequently hunting the yards for my project, and figured it would be fun to document the Miatas I find.
I'll start off by saying that this is not a parts pulling service, parts request thread, or a PM me your shopping list situation.
I'll try to keep it simple by posting pictures of its condition, year/trim if I can identify it, and the cause of death for it lol.
Fun fact, so far I've only managed to find the previous owner of a junkyard Miata once, and it was because of a paycheck they left in the trunk. I found his instagram, and managed to connect with the previous owner. I unfortunately, got there 10 minutes too late as I saw someone walking away with a hard dog roll bar as I was getting close to where the Miata was laid to rest.
This is the current parts hunting rig. My GF's parents got me a collapsible wagon that is rated for ~450lbs, and a Vevor tool kit last year for Christmas. I've only added pliers, and wire cutters to the setup. I used to lug a larger tool box around and would use the rented wheelbarrows, but that was a PITA. I then went with a smaller tool box and a backpack setup but often lacked tools that I needed. I'm ever grateful for this new setup, and I'll probably upgrade the hard plastic wheels to air inflated ones to go over the gravel easier.
Meet Erik's 1997 Montego Blue Mica NA. Who is Erik? I have no idea, but he probably just got hired at a Shell gas station when his Miata met an untimely demise. This poor Miata probably went off road, and rashed the passenger side of the car. May this Miata rest in peace/pieces, and continue to live on vicariously in other people's projects. ~225k miles on the odometer.
