Default Miataturbo.net T Shirts *gauging interest*

Like the title says, I'm looking to see if there would be any interest in mt.net Tshirts. I have a legitimate screen printing setup going right now, and have been slowing getting my business rolling here in my town.. mostly doing tourist and ski apparel. As of right now I can only do one color prints, but most likely by spring I will be able to do 5 color prints. I'm not trying to make big profit here.. I just want to provide the community with some apparel we can be proud of, and make it worth my time.

The Tshirts themselves would be much nicer quality(thicker, softer, fitted), with much cooler/larger/better quality prints than any of the Cafepress shirts. Most the prints I have done basically cover the front of the shirt, I really like big prints on shirts. I can also do any weird side/sleeve/back prints as well.

The price will be around $12 shipped each if I can get enough interest to make them at all. To make it worth my while I would need at least 15 or so interested in buying.

Now onto the design, so far my favorite idea is to have a breakdown of the bp/b6 block with a rather large turbo hanging off, then maybe miataturbo.net on the back tail of the shirt.

Like so, but with a miata intake manifold etc instead of the b6t one.

(If anyone has a blueprint like this of an actual miata motor, let me know!)

Again this is why I am asking you guys, maybe we should have a contest, and ill print the winners shirt? Keep in mind when designing your idea that these shirts must be one color prints.

Let me know what you think. Also any ideas/etc please just post up in this thread. If there is any interest in this, in the future I can also print hoodies, bandannas, beanies, sweatshirts, crotchless panties(hustler?), etc.

I'm in. I'm way too lazy to dig up my printing setup for one shirt.

only because you asked what we think:

I think it needs to be awesome or dont bother. i've turned more so-so tshirts with some small junk on the front breast and some big junk on the back into rags than I can count.

get some ideas from threadless or whatever and see what is hip before starting your design.

a tshirt is not just free advertisement for this site, it's a statement about style and stuff.

Exactly. Thanks for the input, I couldn't agree more. I wont be taking any money until I have one printed and a picture of the actual shirt here. And before I even burn the screen to print the shirt, I'm going make sure everyone likes it. Like I said I'm not trying to print some BS just to make money, I personally want a badass mt.net shirt.

Now, more suggestions please!

I was really hoping I could find a blueprint diagram of a miata BP like the one I posted above, then I could shop in the turbo.

I agree. I'd be happy to wear an MT shirt ... but I think a big picture of an engine is kind of lame. On the other hand, I haven't got any better ideas.

It doesn't matter what it looks like as long as the back reads:

Hustler
4
President
