Default Miatsun 520 Pickup...cool swap

This just popped up on a local forum. A 1966 Datsun 520 pickup with a Miata engine and suspension swap! He didn't say much about it, but it looks really clean, and if it actually turns well would surprise a lot of people on track day lol.

The horrible weight distribution of a truck with a weakling powertrain of an n/a miata.

I'm glad he takes good pictures.

Id rather see it with a half dozen busty polish chicks in the bed, but 6ULs would look good as well.

^^^ Thanks for that. And I did not realize it was a repost...a thousand pardons. No mention of that 2yo build thread was made in his local thread.

Doesn't look too bad from here. And no doubt it would be more fun boosted, but a couple hundred pounds less than a stock Miata is a good start!

Its clean and well executed. No doubt.
I just think its more for pictures than anything else.

Should have installed the motor in the back

I read his build thread a while ago, and even NA with very little development, he was kicking *** at HPDEs, it's definitely more than just a show truck, he races the hell out of it.

Beautiful but the wheels got to go. One day I'll have a Datsun Roadster and Pickup. Powered by the KA24 and the CA18.

Just went through the 60 page build thread I Found linked somewhere. He basically built a long wheel based miata... only, its a truck...

Both front and rear sub frames, firewall, powertrain, FLOOR!
