The guy's name is Bob Boileau, he and his dad have been racing Hondas forever. Bob won the T3 national championship in one of our race cars last year, an S2000CR. I haven't seen this truck in person but he told me all about it last year when we did a test day together (hence the original post). His goal was for it to be able to run times faster than spec miata records, not sure if it's there yet.
Anyways, cool project, nice guy.
