its like rocky mountain oysters. I bet they taste great, but I'm not putting any animal's nuts in my mouth. Its the concept that's foul.

it's a ******* egg. in the link you provided they also said sometimes they'll make omletes out of it.
almost every foreign delicacy i've tried has been delicous.

 

you eat the chick inside as well, they time it so it's just before the bones get firm....yummmm.

acutally the only reason I posted is because my wife had a discussion about them a few week ago at her work. She called me and said someone brought one in to show everyone, the boss took a bite and nearly puked.

 

those crazy pilipinos. i used to work with a lot of filipinos at my last job in CA. the ladies were always bringing food in and it was fantastic. forcing it on me and calling me "pogi" and telling me about their daughters back in the phillipines...

they never made me eat balut tho.

 

they eat those for dessert in cambodia.

 

Man, they've fed me some kind-of nasty stuff in China - goose feet, jellyfish, barnacles, mooncake, lobster sushi.... But I always managed to choke it down.

I've seen that guys show on Food or Discovery - it's unbelievable the stuff I've seen him eat! The worst I remember was raw pig testes at some place in Japan. He acted like they were pretty good, but I'll bet there was a hurl-a-thon off camera.

 

I was going to try a local delicacy in Thailand... it was just an egg. Then someone stopped me and explained it had been soaked in horse urine. I threw-up in my mouth.

Durian is nice.....my wife loves those eggs BTW
