I was not aware of this feature. It does have power everything, along with cruise. 5 speed manual, I didn't check the diff. I just tossed it on the lift and checked for leaks really quick since I was on the clock. I left a deposit and I'm going to pick it up in a few minutes for $6500. It's very clean, owned by a lady in her 60's who bought it new. She smoked though... it stinks. Time to google how to kill that horrible stench. Any tips...?

not bad. rip out the interior and bathe it in stuff that rids of odor. and the seats.
smoker interiors are the worst. on the up side you probably have one of the least molested cars ever

Lol put it up for s&g's. Expecting people to low ball me. Already have a couple shitty trade offers and someone offered me $7000 w/o hardtop. I might have the hardtop sold. I have a feeling I'm gonna get wheels and tires with hardtop money and drive it till tax season is in full effect.

I have someone who wants it for $8000. Let it go or keep it and throw some wheels, tires, suspension on it and drive it for a while?

Well, do you want a Miata, or do you want to make $1500?

If I were in your shoes I'd sell in a second. No question.

Then come buy my GTO :P

For any job, you want to make sure you exceed your personal hourly rate.

To determine this rate

1) estimate a comfortable annual salary
2) divide by the number of hours in a work-year (40 hrs/wk * 52 weeks = 2080 but round to 2000) or simply
3) multiply by two for a better "billable rate" estimate.
4) skip all that and just estimate the salary and lop off 3 zeroes.

example: 200,000 salary

200 / hour billable

if you spent less than 7.5 hours of actual work time to flip that car, you're ok.

if you never drop below 200 dollars per hour of work, you're doing well.

20 minutes in text conversations. 30 minutes buying the vehicle. 10 minutes picking up and dropping off at smog shop. 30 minutes cleaning vehicle. Along with a hypothetical 30 minutes selling vehicle, for a hypothetical $8000, would equal $735 per hour. That's with a $30 smog factored in.

Lol I plan on it at this point. Spending the weekend with the pops for his B-day, hopefully I can squeeze in some time to let Joe Blow and John Doe test drive it.

So far I've been the typical Craigslist flake and I haven't met up with anyone that's interested. Have been super busy and people want to meet at inconvenient times.
The car is slowly growing on me because it is so quiet and tight compared to all my other Miatas. Got some super stance drift rims with brand new Ecsta Ast's for $200; they are approx. 10lbs lighter per corner than the chrome boat anchors. I'm considering just driving it in all of its open diff glory until l I get my tax return, then become more serious about selling it.
