Default Momo Prototipo

Any one have one of these are there Miata? How do you like it?

Looking for a nice classic sports car steering wheel. I have been bouncing between the Prototipo and a Nardi replica. Going to mount them using a NRG thin hub and 2.5 quick release.

Prototipo, can get in black or brushed, I am thinking black

Nardi knock off

I'd be careful with the dished wheels, with the hub and quick release, it might be too close. My competition is fairly flat and already really close.

I have been thinking about the NRG thin quick release as well.

Snowboarder, are you using the NRG thin hub as well? If possible could you measure from the wheel spoke to the plastic steering column cover? Thanks

And another thousand say that they don't trust their lives to something purchased off of ebay. Personally I really like those two wheels. Not sure I would get a knockoff. Having them close to your body is probably best if you are going to be racing at all btw.

Deep Corn is hands down the best wheel in a miata. You can have your hands on both sides of the wheel and your elbows stay tucked right at your side. You can drive for hours without your arms getting tired at all. I used to have the ebay knockoff, I hope to get the real deal sometime in the near future.

I didn't mean to say close is bad, I do like how my hub/QR/wheel combo is about an inch closer than stock, I just don't think I'd want it much closer. Maybe I have giant ape arms, who knows.
