Hah!
We're to the point where i think you're more than capable of helping effectively. Just needs the new suspension installed, i think maybe brake pads and rotors, need to roll the fenders for the FD/245/45-16 setup, make intercooler setup not look like dick, re-time it, install a working MTX-L, install new speedo gear, and button up gauges.
Realistically, 1-2 days of work.
After that i want to clean the **** out of that place and we need to freshen that motor for you.

This is the truck in question:
It looks like the people almost unanimously want to see me fail at swapping a turbo'd FE3, so I will give the people what they want. It's funny because I have a ranger with a 302 shoehorned in, and now I'm putting a 4-banger into a slightly larger truck.
The rough plan I have in mind so far is to buy a sportage or two for ~$500, build a megasquirt and a wiring harness (Concealer I will trade you labor and beer for help on this), stuff in Kia drivetrain, weld up custom exhaust, and shorten/ lengthen driveshafts as necessary.
For some stupid reason, toyota 3.0s are outrageously expensive on ebay, so I should be able to recoupe the cost of the swap by selling the complete drivetrain afterwards.

I think the answer is 5vz, Megaskwertz, and tracking down a TRD stupidcharger. Maybe from a TRD T100.
The stupidcharger put the T100 up to 260hp/265ftlbs, probably with garbage factory tuning.
With a good tune, and a good eye to details, i bet we could make some healthy power.

Whatever we do, we have to also do a 5 speed swap. I loath the auto trans in this thing almost as much as the engine.

I love a good straight six, but the biggest limitation is block length. I need to do some measuring, but I do remember the jeep 4.0 being way outside of the realm of possibility.
