WTF is up with the oil cooler dangling off the bumper? Easy access in case someone needs to borrow it?

Seriously. Seeing it on one car was not super surprising and laughable...but it turns out that its a trend! What is the meaning of this?!

you know how awesome it would be if someone showed up with a pair of good scissors and cut a few lines as he walked by.

OK, oil cooler hanging off the bumper is lame. But intentionally running the lines in a huge looping manner with no intent of restraining them or concealing them just looks stupid. Just dangling there.

I got it! Extra cooling for when they're revving in the parking lot. You don't have to worry about heat soak with them outside the engine bay.

I'm thinking here...

Clearly there is a market for hubcaps that simulate spinners, stick-on brake caliper covers that mimic brembos, and things you jam into your tailpipe that (supposedly) mimic the sound of a turbo.

We build and market a cheap plastic simulated "oil cooler hanging off the bumper" kit.

Hmmm. Appears to be at an event in Japan, so I'm thinking a mid 60s Rotus Eran.
