Most likely, but thats how you get deals.
****, a friend of mine got a old interceptor for 50 bucks. All he had to do was put a new chain on it, and it ran like a champ. The guy who sold it to him didnt know what was wrong with it... and thought the trans was blown.
Idiocracy ftw.

Gotta give the driving record a few years to recover first. It's a good thing, bikes are so sick but they are definately dangerous

I am about one inch shorter thanks to a truck turning across my path without seeing me (most common bike accident). One of my vertebrae was crushed (thus the loss in height) along with a broken jaw, lots of broken ribs, internal bleeding, etc. One month in the hospital, three weeks eating liquid meals through a straw inserted back behind my teeth. I'd be dead if I hadn't been wearing a helmet and full gear.
As dangerous as it can be, I still miss riding a lot (wife made me quit after the big accident) and also the camaraderie of fellow biker friends on touring trips. I really loved my last bike, a black-and-red 1991 Honda VFR400R, sort of a mini-RC30 race replica. I rode that thing everywhere and was about 3 hours into a week-long trek across Japan when I got wiped out.

Yeah when I bought the VFR I always planned to bring it back to the U.S. with us. It wasn't super lightweight or the fastest 400 out there but it handled great and that V-4 sound is sexxxxy. It was completely totalled (frame damage) but I hope its parts are out there somewhere making someone happy. Someday when I'm old and my kids are grown up I'll probably get a bike again-- all this bike talk and pics make me jealous!
Here's almost exactly what my VFR looked like:

in the last few years all the big manufacturers have been giving up low end torque for more top end ponies. my 2000 929 was right before they really started doing it. having torque is addicting, i switched off with a friend who has an r6 and i hated it. It was still fast, but where the 929 would pull hard at 3000rpm the r6 needed to be at 7500 to do the same

I had a zrx1200 and a zx7rr (92), and traded off with my friends gsxrs, an 01 and a 99 and I didnt like them...
I loved the zrx 5spd, just grab a handful and accelerate. just a big lazy wheelie machine... with the fairing on I could touch 140 but Im sure it was optimistic. in town speeds it was fantastic. just romp through everything. flipped the eccentrics and it tightened up the steering, and the wide bars made low speed maneuvers cake.

My roomate has a 600RR and it's a pretty nice bike. Pretty damn uncomfortable but quick as hell. I would love to get a bike, but when i went to look for insurance quotes, I literally got laughed at :(

haha ya...insurance is a bitch if you want full coverage. Im on liability and im paying somewhere around 550 a year. Full insurance was 4300 for me with 2 points on my record. The ride only gets uncomfortable if u ride for more than an hour. Or if you're canyon carving you dont even notice the uncomfortableness lol
