I saw the latest hunger games tonight. Wife read the book and loved the movie. I thought it was decent.
Came home, drifted in and out of sleep while watching "cloud atlas". Should've just slept. I felt the movie was absolutely pointless. It was too Sci fi lets jump other planets in the future crap. Plus I'm tired of Tom hanks and Halle berry. Not nearly as tired of them as Nicholas cage, but mildly tired.

One that I always try to get people to watch, but they seem to never listen. One of the better movies I've seen in recent years. I've watched it 3 or 4 times I liked it so much. Action packed and fun while being sad and a bit fucked up at times. It's also pretty beautifully done, but the trailer does it no justice.

Read the book years ago and rereading it again. Pretty close and Card was one of the producers, so it stayed pretty close to book. obviously no book makes a perfect movie port, but out of the group that went I was the only one who had read it before and all loved it.

An amusing but vapid road-trip comedy. Watched once, then immediately deleted.
My emotions right now range from "seriously annoyed with you for the recommendation" to "pissed off at myself, for allowing my time to be wasted by watching this self-indulgent noir flick as it bounced from one plot to the next, in the hope that there would eventually be some kind of payoff.."

Thread revival...
I just watched this and recommend it (don't watch the trailer, it will screw the movie up for you).
I saw this a couple of weeks ago. It is a film you need to watch a second time to really understand it. I've only seen it once but wouldn't mind watching it again.

I liked the first half of The Place Beyond the Pines, but the second half didn't do it for me. I was pretty disappointed overall.
Michael Bay is producing, not directing.
I wish Michael Bay would just stay away from my childhood memories.

Had all the characteristics:
Shitty Acting
Shitty Actors
Spinning Cameras
Unbelievably stupid "action" sqeuence
