Looks like he was verifying that his setup worked at all. He's dyno'ing at 1psi? Shouldn't give him much power.

I'm pretty sure all of our setups with the wastegate wired open would make less power than it would with a decent exhaust header.

I would personally leave the bike as it is and if you want more power get a different one. I'm of the feeling that a bike needs to be engineered properly for higher power, and just throwing a ton of HP in it can make for a really dangerous setup. Of course the same could be said for what we're doing to the miata, but I don't think you can compare a car and a motorbike in the same breath.

It's a nice bike though

Curly,

The current motor came out of Camaro built for drag racing. It is 383 with 0.040 over, AFR heads 10.5 compression and 292/300 duration cam.
Pretty weak below 3000 rpm, but fun above 4500 rpm.
Makes great sounds though!

Currently I am incorporating MSD 6530 programmable ignition to see if I can wake it up a bit at low rpm.

One of my most recent toys.

VT500C: Got it for $100 from some guy in Harlem, tore it down, rebuilt, and just sold for $2,000 after I was done playing with it. Profit ~ $1,600

Did a little work over the winter:
Fixed a huge exhaust leak.
Got freshly painted body work.
Ditched the bitch seat.
Rebuilt the starter.
Had the carbs professionally synced.
Installed the front calipers off an 05 busa and rotors from an 03 R1.
Have R1 cops on the way to replace the stock coils.

Trying to plan out a custom turbo kit with the help of TonyV but cant decide if I want to swap the block for a 1300 out of a venture first. Biggest problem is sourcing one around here. To heavy to ship and these bikes are rare as hell in the tri-state.

Now that's a sweet bike.
