More girls ask to ride on my bike ever since I replaced the backseat with a plastic cover, are they retarded?

I know a guy that duct-taped a big vibrator underneath his pillion seat. Sounds stupid, but chicks really did enjoy it.

EDIT:

Thread stickied...but since it is let's keep posts to bike pictures/content.

So in the spirit...here's a vid of the CBX after I finally got it running, and attached a better pic or two.

I agree with you on that last bike FOR SURE! Also, that Lightning you posted a pic of has the famous "gas mask" mod, where they actually modify an old gas mask to fit around and hang below the headlights.

Another pic of my XB, this one shot on Squaw Peak Road up Provo canyon

996=sex. The others are also definitely sexy but in a different way.

I think they're sexy in their own different sorta "exotic" way. I like when I spot one it usually stands out. Got striking features. Definitely doesn't just blend in like all the gixers and hondas. I have nothing against gixers or hondas, but there's just tons of them around here.

The biggest reason I wouldn't buy a buell, besides money, is that it's got a harley engine (well....except for the rotax bikes but those look too goofy). I think a streetbike should rev. I love the way buell's sb12s look and the reasons to get one outweigh the reason not to so I might get one someday. I'd have to see about making it rev though. And turbo it.

wow, I didn't know blind people could type!

seriously though, Buell's aren't everyone's cup of tea, but they ARE unique. What's your favorite looking bike? If you say anything that begins with CBR, GSXR, R(6,1,etc), ZX.... Etc etc, then that's fine, but I'd also deduct that you prefer a hamburger to a filet mignon.

Serious question though: Have you ever ridden one? IMHO between the way they are geared and the huge wave of torque you ride (70ftlbs+ from 2k rpm, 80+ peak) you never miss high revvs at all.. unless maybe you are talking about 120+ mph which really should not be done on the street anyways(although we all have). A Buell xb12 (harley motor w/ 7200 redline) will run right next to a GSXRCBR6ETC 600 until about 100mph with a Intake/Exhaust and a good tune.

These bikes are fully tunable from the factory, all you have to buy is a tuning cable. You load up a tuning program called Tuner Pro, and you have full access to the fuel/timing maps. This makes boosting one very tempting.

But I also am a firm beliver of Track bike = High revs and POWER, street bike = Fun and Torquey. For a track bike I plan on picking up a older (04-06) r6, or r6S for cheap.

Alas to each his own of course, no bashing here.

They have THAT much torque that low in the powerband? DROOL. Must be like the v8 of bikes.
The opensource tuning is also very awesome.
Too bad none of them are full fairing or I'd heavily consider one instead of my next bike sv 650/1000

Bond, what is that torque graph from? There aren't any air-cooled buells that rev that high, the XB12's rev to 7k and the XB9's I *THINK* might hit 8k. the liquid cooled ones go to 10,500 and claim 146 chp and 82 ctq (with over 80% of that torque available at 2500 rpm... *drool*)

And as far as the full fairing bikes go... I understand, but doesn't this look pretty sick?

Well... if you MUST have a full fairing bike...

The new Buell B2, rumored to begin production in 2011

they also sold full-fairing kits for the 1125 race bikes:

*drool drool** I'm a real fan of the look of the normal XB's, but that last shot of the full-fairing 1125R in black is just... amazing.

That's an 03 sv1000, I have an 04 sv1000s but I doubt there is much of a difference in graphs.

The 1190RS will be based on the Erik Buell Racing 1190RR race bike, itself based on the Buell Barracuda 2 that was in-development when Harley canned the brand. In race trim, that bike develops 185hp at the wheel, something we don’t expect to see on anything road-legal. More likely are the 157bhp and 82lb-ft numbers of the ‘Cuda, which, considering that bike weighed only 161kg/355lbs (dry), would till make it fully competitive with bikes like the 170bhp, 377lbs/171kg (dry) Ducati 1198.

If you know anything about Erik Buell and his history, you'll know the end of HD's Buell is not the end of Buell altogether

Here's a sick lookin bike:

More on topic, here's a dyno graph of the 1125:

That torque curve is FLAT! woot! Looks a lot like the SV1000 powerband, only higher everywhere. but the SV1000 is 417 lbs dry, the 1125 is 375. I saw a 2009 1125R with about 1,500 miles on it in the white/blue combination seen above sell for $4500, and that was like 8 months ago

ANYWAY... I like buells. But I need to ride some more bikes. You can find SV's for really good prices, and they're sweet bikes.

think of it as the sportbike equivalent of one of those cosmetic rollbars for the miata...

I have no idea what they are. But they're swoopy and appear to be made of carbon fiber.... I think they'd be really annoying to ride with tho.
