I understand the the OP is no longer here, but still good info for the rest of you. Homeowner's policy is the most boring, dry reading that everyone SHOULD read at least once. Your auto policy as well.
Years ago I had someone steal a car from my garage and ironically enough, a set of wheels. State Farm forced me to make a claim for the car and a seperate claim for the wheels on my homeowners because they wanted the deductible. I can't quote the policy langauge.
