Default NAPA "coated" rotors

I am replacing the brake rotors on my truck and one of the ones that napa gave me is entirely coated with some "polymer"

you can see it advertised on their website here:
Ultra Premium - NAPA Brakes

Does anyone have any experience with this? Having a coating on the rotor where it contacts the pads does not seem like a good idea to me. I have no doubt it will come of the rotor very quickly, but will it hurt the pads at all?

I can't seem to find much information regarding this online.

I dont understand why they would do this.... it SHOULDNT hurt the pads... but i imagine When they heat up, there will be a glaze of that polymer crap on the pad until it burns off. I've never seen polymer coated rotors... just those Greasy wax coatings they apply to hold off oxidization.

I'll take a look when I get home. My first thought when I saw it was that they missed a machining step at the factory. I was running out of daylight, so I just packed it up for the night.
