"A Scanner, Darkly" C-

Just got done watching this film. I really wanted to like it, thought that perhaps it would be a kind of "Primer meets Reservior Dogs" but somehow it just didn't do anything for me. Very pretty to look at, and clever in places, but overall it just seemed to drag from one cliche to the next until it was finally time for the end credits.

God this movie killed me to watch it a couple years ago. I had such high expectations as well.

Watch "Lost in Translation". Great for curing wintertime blues!

Sympathy for Mr. Vengance : 5

I've had netflix for 10 years. Unfortunately, my tastes have changed so all the recommendations and stars are fucked up.

The way the star system works is interesting- the # of stars they display for you for any given movie is based off the ratings of other people- who rate similarly to you. So if you rate Gone With the Wind a 5, and look up Predator, the stars # of stars displayed for Predator will be based off of the ratings from people who rated Gone With the Wind a 5.

Of coarse you can! If you got a good movie to add, add!

So far I have watched:

Law Abiding citizen - 4.5
Far Cry - 2.5 3ish
Surrogates- 4
District 9 - (personally loved it) 5
haha, and Top Gear

Has anybody watched "The Korean" ?

I'd highly recommend "Hunger" to anyone interested in the conflict in N. Ireland.

I've streamed every season of "Weeds" and have done a few of "Californication".

I give Weeds a 5, one of the best shows you can stream from Netflix.
