I had one for a rental when I was in Texas. It was a pretty nice car too. Got good MPG (mid-30's) for having a slushbox...though at least a 6-spd auto. Interior is well layed out. I'd daily one.

That particular car above looks like a concept car- in a good way.

Let's hope V2 of the Genesis has the v8 and is more kickass.

I am always happy to get a hyundai for a rental vs. a shitty pontiac. I really think 90% of GM's/fords business comes from sales/leases to stupid rental car fleets.

There's 2 in our work parking lot - turbo and non. Great looking interiors too. Hyundai and Kia have come a long way and that 274 hp motor is going across platforms. The new version of my daily (2011 Sportage) is supposed to get the turbo motor also in 2012.

Wut? 274hp? Hmm so how much hp can the motor handle when boost is upped?

If I was looking for a nice daily driving sedan, I might consider this. I'm not-- but if I was I would.

Its the same 2.0t thats in the gen coup. IE very similar to the evo motor and proven to hold over 400.

Problem is it only comes in an automatic.

Why don't you idiots post pictures of Sonatas owned by someone less "urban"?

It looks big, heavy, and the body looks like every other boring sedan on the road.

I got one of these for a rental... they "look" decent, but drive like and feel like ****. Everything feels shitty. Like a Hyundai... go figure.

After recently having a new Camry and a new Malibu for rental cars....I'd still take the Sonata.

I had a beat up 98 Elantra, I loved it. It got totalled and I walked away with a few scratches.

I think the new Kia Optima is much better looking than the Sonata (it's sister car). Personally I think the Sonata looks like ***, it's trying too hard...

Not even close to the same. It uses the same world motor standards but has a weaker block and head.
