iPhone 5 officially announced with 4-inch display, A6 CPU and LTE for $199 on September 21st -- Engadget
They are calling it the iPhone 5, but it looks more like the iPhone 4SS to me.
However, a reversible charging cable is actually pretty cool. Though microUSB would be better.
Bigger screen ("Nobody wants a 4 inch screen on their phone" - Steve Jobs) is now 13xx X 640 (I don't remember the actual dimensions).
Also it has LTE, is thinner, lighter, and has an incremental battery upgrade.
Also OMFG PANARAMA MODE ON MY PHONE! I have gotten used to being underwhelmed by iDevice keynotes, but this was pretty bad.

So it has everything android has had for more then a year? Sweet lets stand in line for hours and hours and hours to get one!
Athough, and dont quote me on this, that A6 should be pretty badass.

If the iPhone 5 was the best phone ever made you people would still say it was trash.
Will it be the best phone ever? No, Im sure it wont. Im sure there will be android phones that do the same and better for less money. That doesnt mean the iPhone is bad by any stretch.
I love my iPhone 4. It does a good job at being a phone and I never need to restart it or do any kind of maintenance. I just charge it, thats it.
When I want to do anything important I have a 7" android tablet and a desktop computer with many times the capability.

I've had every iphone except a 3gs since 2007. I got pissed when they dropped 12v charging, now that there is a new dock connector I have no reason to get another. The only reason I ever wanted an iPhone was because it worked with all my cool iPod ****, now I have no reason not to get an android next.
I'll be getting one, who knows when since the hipsters always buy them out for the first few months.
I'm not too happy about the charging port though. That's the one thing I like, is you're never more than a few feet from a charger. Whether you're in someone's car, house, bathroom, etc. You can always charge. We'll see how I like this one...

When I bought a new phone to upgrade my iPhone 3...(yes the older one than the 3s), I almost was talked into buying a Samsung galaxy 3. I went with the iPhone 4s and I've never had any problems.

I have not looked, but I have seen what Verizon and AT&T are doing for sharing data and it makes me sick. Once the iphone masses swith to LTE it is going to be very interesting to see how much data they start using.
