the 997 has a much more useable rpm range, the gtr is more peaky it seems. the gtr acheives the same power more than 2k rpm's later than the 997. I would rather come out of a turn spooling near full power at 3000rpm's than 6000.

For me any spirited driving will be above 4k, at which point the GTR has the advantage.

The GTR's power curve is friendlier as well. Look at the power spike on the 997 at 3k. Then it's all down hill from there.

Don't get me wrong. Dream car is a Porsche 911 Turbo. But I can make room to dream over the new skyline as well. To be honest if it came down to a decision between the two and I had the money, a long test drive of both would be necessary.
