Default Nitous what do you think?

I got offered a sweet deal on a never installed ZEX dircet port nitrous kit and I was just wanting some opinions or words of wisdom.

Not a fan. Hate spending 30 bucks to fill the bottle constantly.

If the deal is sweet enough, pick it up and sell it for a profit. Then apply those funds towards boost or more boost.

don't forget the side items, bottle heater, remote shutoff... the other expensive stuff you need to make it run right.

That stuff adds up really quick. I think for a purge, bottle heater and remote shut off you are around $400.

a 5.0 mustang with nitrous is fun. 500tq on a bone stock motor with 150 shot.

I just priced it out the shut off thing is $27 from NOS
A purge is around $100
A bottle heater is $120 from Zex
Then tuning....and filling the bottle...

A remote shut off has got to be more than $27. I think you priced something else. Maybe the fuel pressure safetly switch that is really just a Hobbs switch and a couple fittings.

I would rather just put the money towards a WI kit which would have close results and would be cheaper and easier to install.

I wouldn't say close results. The only thing they really have in common is dropping IATs. If I could sell a water injection kit that would let you gain 50 whp and 50+ wtq at the same boost while preventing detonation I would be all over it

But I do agree. Nitrous seems like walking a fine line. I have heard water injection compliments it though:gay:
