to me it looks like it needs another coat of bondo and some sanding....unless that's just the crap paint job... |
There is some hope. He writes, "Engine is just a standard 1.6 but I would love a decent V8 in there eventually." - Figure a mildly modified LSx and no one will know what it is.
When he upgrades the engine and then sands and paints the car, it may very well be something of interest. I do appreciate the dedication to the bodywork. Some of it I like, some not so much... - L |
While its not to my taste, I appreciate what he's done. Looks like a lot of work and attention to detail.
Whats up with the passenger side gauge hood thing? |
If that thing is molded on, slapping a V8 on there would probably do more harm than good. The torque from the pulls would rip that body apart IMO.

I think it looks pretty good. Maybe its not a match for a whopping 90whp but as for the extensive bodywork I say job well done. I hope he does LSX the thing, that'll be pretty sick.

I like what he did...but I agree, that thing is going to start cracking down the seems as soon as he hits a couple of rough spots on the road.

Brain, thats just a crap paint job with alot of sanding still left to do. its nothing more than a dirty butthole looking job. he has ideas, but the execution is terrible.
|
Atleast it's not fast...that way the firberglass might last longer.

I like the lines of it and the overall look. Why oh why didn't he get rid of the barn doors and do a full hood? All that work to hide it's a Miata and he leaves the barn doors. Put some serious performance and quality finishing to back up the look and it's a good looking car. Likely a complete POS but he did a good job with the design just not the execution.
