I'm gonna agree that gasoline-* hybrids are the wave of the shmoozer and not hte future. diesel and anything is way better. better direct economy, better overall well-to-wheels efficiency, better smell when it's biodiesel.

but until someone makes a fusion or fission car, i'm not buying in to the alternative nonsense.

Reminds me of the good ole' BBS days when Sysops and their minions would physically vandalize the telephone wiring of people they didn't like. One event sticks with me... A BBS frequented by particularly snobby and elitist users (like our Prius friends) happened to be run out of the back of a local bookstore, on an Amiga 500. A fellow Sysop friend of mine actually snuck into said back room one bright and cheery morning and emptied an entire bottle of soda into the machine and its external hard drives. As much as I cherished the Amiga platform and hated to see one die, the end of the EggHead BBS (yes, actual name) was savored sweetly.

what bothers me most about prius drivers and that they drive in the HOV lane (even when not during HOV times) and drive at least 20mph slower than the speed limit.

 

thats cause at normal speed thyre milage goes to poop

the prius is a great town car ... its also a little bit gay and just isnt as efficent as drivers would like to think. I rode in one for the first time the other day and for being almost as small as the miata, it had a bigg *** interior and the stereo was pretty good too. It went just fine on the highway and it was nice and quiet. Everything my miata isnt ...

i hate prius owners cuz those **** suckers are the one holding up traffic everywhere whether its in the carpool lane or on the streets. ****** cheap skates dont hit the gas to move and i get mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are spared the heavy doses of Prius peeps down here in FL. We still have a lot of necks down here that dont give up the lifted '78 Stepside with Thornbird Superswampers, and thats in the city. We are still a Reublican State that has plenty of drivers with gas hogging beasts, unlike the Socialist State of California.

 

I just shake my head every time I see a prius drive by. Even a VW Jetta TDI gets better gas mileage, as with any small diesel. In fact, they can average near 40mpg with speeds ranging from 85-100mph, at least in the summer (friend has one, that was a fun road trip). And VWs are really gay!
