Default Oh I'm a bad man

So I'm buying a 1985 Rx7 GS this weekend...Streetported rotary 12a, brand spanking new rebuild, runs beautifully, no rust, 5 spd 112xxxmiles...1500bux

I know I shouldn't but man, I need to drive something, so much work on the miata and no payoff, well yet atleast. Still to wintery to drive her anyway, not to mention working on it in the cold...

Not much left yet so its just a matter of some warm weather and a couple weekends.

dude i cant even trust a FD rx7 let alone an older one. One of my friends had a 94 or 95 i think... they all have heating problems vacuum leaks and problems left and right. Selling it was the best thing he did on that car

I miss my 94 when I think back on it. But I also sleep better now that I don't have to worry about it.

N/A rotaries are pretty reliable apparently... but they're also slower than ****.

Slow, and dirty. Have you ever seen a rotary emissions test result?

older rx's are more reliable than boosted ones. and I'd love to spend that money on the miata but like I said I can't drive it now anyways, its still winter up here and I need a new DD.

the old NA 12a's were pretty reliable. things fall apart when you apply boost though.

As for the FD's, they are just too complex to troubleshoot. The vacuum diagram is an absolute nightmare.

Dude, if you really need a DD, just buy like a CRX or something.

You bought a Rotary as a winter car?!? Bwahaha ... good luck getting it started if it get's really cold again And god help you if it get's flooded!

Seriously though, if I could find a really nice clean one, I'd be all over it it. With a big assed carb they can be quick as snot. Who'd you buy the car from?
