Pros:
  • R Package appearance items(at least)
  • vinyl stripes can be removed, seem to be vinyl as they are very difficult to get straight over spoiler and bumper)
  • bigger brakes
  • bigger stronger diff, Torsen if it is an R, open if it isn't.

Cons:
  • you turbo won't transfer over without mods
  • same for COPs
  • same for MS wiring harness
  • gotta transfer your real oil pressure gauge over
  • red hardtop, black car

if it is indeed an R package, nothing to point to it not being(manual mirrors, no mention of power steering, or power windows), how do you feel about manual steering?

i want manual steering, no abs and with a/c.

basically I'll have a car ill only have to slap a turbo on, the rest I can keep as is, and part the one i wrecked.

i should be able to swap manifolds and still use my downpipe and exhaust....the rest is nearly the same, just a tweak at the TB.

if i get another 1.6L, i have to swap my bigger brakes, engine, diff, over.

It would be a hell of a drive, but I'll swing by and check it out for you if you're interested. You can crash on the couch too. I owe you for all the MS help.

id get a new manifold and reuse everything else. the downpipe may need tweaking, but should be ok. guess id need a new feed line, and maybe a new clutch depending on what he put in.

otherwise, id really only have to throw the roll bar in and eventually change the shock/springs.

but again, beats swapping my brakes & lines, my engine, my suspension, my rollbar, etc etc etc.

it would be basically starting fresh and figuring out a new turbo setup.

chances are it will be sold before i finally make the move
