onlinemetals.com coupon code if anybody wants it
I am a previous customer of these guys and they sent me a coupon code for an additional 5% off everything in July. I don't need anything metal or plastic (Yes, they also have plastics) right now for a fabrication project, but someone here might. The code should be good for the whole month of July for as many people that want to use it.
The code is: JULY05
The site is: Online Metal Store | Small Quantity Metal Orders | Metal Cutting, Sales & Shipping | Buy Steel, Aluminum, Copper, Brass, Stainless | Metal Product Guides at OnlineMetals.com
I'm not affiliated with them.

I used them for a particular aluminum alloy sheet in a specific thickness to repair the hull of my boat. I didn't buy very much, either, but it had to be the same alloy as the hull or it would react and corrode. The price was fair, it came quickly by UPS, and it was packaged well.
Splitter plastic? I think somebody was using ABS sheet, but I don't know specifics.

Yup. Good ole' textured ABS sheet.
I've bought a fair bit of metal from onlinemetals, but for plastic sheet you can do better (price-wise) by just searching Google for ABS Sheet. I recall TAP Plastics having some good prices there, though I also believe I found a couple who were lower. When pricing plastic sheet, remember to factor in shipping as well as the "small order" surcharge that some places tack on. These vary wildly.

Good call guys, thanks for the advice. Was thinking maybe buying a sheet of aluminum to make something out of, but ABS looks way easier. And I won't have to file the edges down like crazy to prevent massive blood loss every time I change the oil. Now I have to decide if I really want a splitter -- I like my car being a sleeper. I suppose it would be easy enough to make a removable one with the leftovers from the undertray.
