Default Opinions on this car trade:

I currently have a 2009 Mazda 3s hatch. It's a touring edition, has all the bells and whistles except for leather and power seats. It has 51,000 miles on it. I use it M-F as my daily, and my wife uses it as her weekend work commuter. That's it.
I want something sportier, more fun to drive, and also a bit smaller. It also has to be something that we both can drive and enjoy.
I recently found a 2008 Volvo C30.
I love these things. 5 cylinder turbo, they weigh like 3200 lbs, and make 225hp from the factory with .53bar boost (7psi ish).
This particular C30 has 92,000 miles on it, and it's automatic just like our Mazda 3. I think I still owe about $13,000 on the 3, and this dealer wants around $10,000 for this C30.
I love the C30, but my Mazda 3 still has a warranty on it. I also have a feeling that I won't get the trade in value close to what I owe on my car, and I'll be looking at still having to pay out. I'm not about to pay anything out for a car with twice the mileage of my 3, and a year older.
What would you guys do?
Here's a C30 review video for those of you who are interested:

Keep the warranty if you can't fix things.

I can fix things, i don't care about a warranty. I'd do it. But then again, i don't owe money on my car. So having a car payment may change my mind.

I still want a c30 so so so badly though. I just can't justify getting rid of a car i have no payment on, and drives perfectly fine now.

My payments on the 3 are $266 a month. If they give me 11,000 for it I'll pay the balance off with cash. Hopefully I can finance the C30 for like $169 a month.
