judging by the thumb it has to be the right arm therefore IM guessing the driver is leaning over with his arm up.

No judging by the thumb it the womans arm in the passenger seat. You can freakin see the woman, pinky on the left, thumb on the right (its the left arm) U know its the palm away because of the view of the rings.

Please tell me none of you bought that 140 part.

Anyways, there's many many roads in California (where that Miata is from) that has dozens of miles of twisty roads, very well maintained backroads. Some of them in the 100+ mile range. In fact, some of my favorites with excellent dining sprinkled throughout have been rehabbed this past year.

is it just me or is cali the best place to drive at? the street scene in both mucsle and imports was born there and the back roads and the beach and the weather and ...not the emissions but i guess i am just spoiled in sc where there is no laws. sounds like a cool place, my sister is moving there to finish up her vet degree, i might just tag along

I like how California and rehab always show up in the same sentence.

Well, if you all end up here sometime, then let me know and we'll set up a drive or four.

i second firedog, and hell...ill join you guys. By far the best place i have driven is muhulland "raceway". I ended up taking a road trip like a week after i bought my miata (to pick up coilovers) and found my way there. I havent made it back in my car but i have taken every other car i can find down there (2002 camry and 2004 accord, and my brothers crx) i really need to get back down there with boost and a real suspension, but i have heard that the leo's are really cracking down out there.

Mulhol is nice, but it's so heavily populated by... well, just about every thrill seeker and joykill (cops). Mighty521 at miata.net knows how to get from L.A. to S.F. just using back roads. One of my favorites is a road coming out of Fraser Park just off the 5 north of Valencia. It is almost like a driver designed the damn road and when you get to the T in the road you can choose between Santa Barbara county and Ventura county for your next destination.
