Default Paypal debit card

So wondering anyone have one of these??

I read up on it some, sounds good for what I want to do..
aside from typical $1 atm fee + whatever actual atm charges, but w/e

My main question (other than people's experience with it) is, can you DEPOSIT money via atm into your paypal account?

I know you can withdraw from an atm and even do debit purchases (mastercard logo), but see nothing about depositing $$ via atm thru paypal account??

All ears

I don't think you can deposit with it. I have one, and have used it occasionally to withdraw money quickly from the account.

I highly doubt you could deposit money into your Paypal through the ATM. That would mean the ATM would need some type of option that said deposit to Paypal.....and I've never seen that before.

But you should get yourself the Paypal code generator if you already don't have it. Sometimes I keep a good amount of dough in my Paypal and I like the idea of knowing its totally safe.

I know to withdraw, it says to select the "checking account" option and it'll withdraw from paypal...don't see why the same wouldn't work for deposits...but again don't see anything on it

Well I'm not too worried about making purchases...

My goal is to be able to withdraw AND deposit money in/out of my paypal account at will. Not having to go thru my bank, mix up funds, wait for clearance, etc etc...

I have one but I have never used it to deposit money. As a matter of fact I have not made a deposit through an ATM ever. Sorry I have no idea. Is it even recommended/possible to make deposits through an ATM at a location other than your own bank?

I personally wouldn't trust them with any sort of money, and that is from personal horror stories.

You can withdraw.

But how could you even deposit? the bank of Paypal? Is the random bank you stick your cash in going to send the money to paypal?

Deposit the cash to your regular bank, then transfer the money to paypal if you need to.

I have the paypal debit card and I've never even used it. Personally I've been with paypal since 1999ish and haven't once had a problem with them. Only thing that pisses me off is their gay little 3% fee to transfer funds.

Why do you want to deposit money into paypal anyway? If you've got a CC# on file for "backup funds" (which I used a prepaid visa card with like 200$ on it.. works fine!) and have a checking account setup at my bank for buying **** online with. When theres something I want to paypal, get on my banks website and transfer the money into the checking acct I have for paypal then make my payment. Using that method payments even to places using the "virtaul credit card" open they have for some place that doens't take normal paypal its instant money payment. Only down side is my bank requires me to keep at least 100$ in that checking account, but theres no other fee or whatever to keep it open.
