Jolt cola was around many years before Surge. Jolt was my late night study tool in college. "all the sugar and twice the caffeine" it was good stuff made with real Cane sugar back then like coke is everywhere else in the world accept the USA.

Original Jolt tasted like metal...or like stickign your tongue on a 9v battery...I swear.
I miss Mountain Dew MDX as well. It tasted very much like Surge too.

Speaking of radiactive green ****, drink 3-4 Redbulls and it will yield the same results.

MDX was the best thing since Surge, but Surge was the ****. My fondest memory was the day I drank 3 or 4 20oz bottles, a whole 12 pack of cans, and a part of a 3 liter by myself.

And...

I remember there was a website where losers would track down restaurants still offering Surge and buy as much as possible. I remember reading some kid's account of taking a few crosstown buses to fill up empty milk jugs with Surge at a Chinese restaurant that still had it. I don't think it'd be worth traveling more than a few yards for toad ejaculate, but whatever.
