Post your Daily Driver
I haven't found a Thread like this ,soo what do you guys drive daily ?
Another Miata or something else ? I had several Miata's over the Years as a DD ,but last Week i bought a Bmw e36 It's a Compact "323ti" with a 2.5l Engine (was offered for the German Market only) I think in the Usa you get only 2 Engines 1.6 and 1.8 which are fucking lame ;) The 2.5 is the same Engine which was offered in the sedan ,coupe and Touring Models . But in the Compact Model it has a short Diff (3.07) and Compact is around 50-70kg lighter . They're dynoed most Times around 180-195 stock at the Crank So this Thinks moves really nice compared to other e36 with the same Engine . I will post some Pictures Tommorow.... So what do you drive daily ? |

2001 Nissan Sentra SE 2.0 with the Performance Package
Not exactly an inspiring car, but it's a step above the daily beater. Last of the Sentra's with the SR20DE. Has a decently stiff suspension, an LSD, okay seats, and a reasonably good shifter. Paint is terrible, and the left front fender has a dent, but that's okay. It's reliable. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1426807754 |

The main Reason for the Bmw was "more Space" I really love the Miata but on longer Trips (german Autobahn etc.) it really sucks for many Reasons.... Driving with around 100mph means high Rpm ,really high fuel consumation and annoying Noise from all Corners. For Canyons ,City driving and Race Tracks there isn't something better for the Money as a Miata but on long Trips it sucks many Times |

A family sedan with a stock Lsd is nice :) Sr20de is a nice Engine (i only drove it once in an nissan almera....) It's good for a daily. SR20DE isn't a beast, but is a pretty happy little 2.0l given it's age and technology. It doesn't feel quite so lively in this car as it does in an early B13 Sentra, but that's to be expected. I'm hoping that once I get the interior sorted out in the Miata, I'll be able to use it a bit more as a daily when I don't need to carry people or stuff. |

Not an actual pic of mine, but identical - even the wheels. 2001 Silverado 2500HD. 140K miles and it runs great. My first full-size truck, and a very pleasant surprise. 12-14 mpg FTW!

@mgeoffriau
It wasn't offered here at all as far as i know ,like many Sedan Models of several Manufactures which were sucesfully sold in america . There isn't such a huge Market for japanese Sedans in whole Europe like it is in America and Asia . In Europe People mostly drive German Models these Days(i they want a sedan) ,like Audi,Bmw,Mercedes,vw,a few italian Cars and some french Cars like Renault,Citroen and Peugeot.... There are some really nice Models which were never sold in Europe but in the Usa. For Example Lexus : The old is300 was offered in Germany but only with At Tranmission (in the Us you can get Manual ) which is a huge Joke in my opinion ;) Is350 was never offered in Europe ,we only get the is220d (diesel) ,the lame is250 and the Is-f I searched a long time for a is350 but there were only 2 us imports(crap condition) offered in the last 3 Years for a huge amount of Money . |

When we were having a baby I needed something 4 door. I started looking for a car that fit what I wanted: 4 door, RWD, manual, AC, under $10k. Quickly realized that was hard as hell to find. Ended up with a G35 and I've been really happy with it.

02 Civic,The most boring car I've ever owned. Basically,I bought a house and sold my Legacy gt to replenish my savings. I then bought the Miata and after months of searching for another decent and cheap Subaru I found nothing worth while. Then one day this car was towed into where I work with a nasty rod knock. $200 dollars later it was mine. I got a used engine, popped it in and it became the new DD. However the trans is on its way out (175k on her) The only perk to this car is that I honestly couldn't care less about its appearance. Its nice to drive a car you're not worried about.

Distance (5ish miles) isn't bad but the road is (2 lanes each way, but no shoulder or sidewalk, traffic speed is 45+). Couldn't grow a 'stash if I tried. Not in the genes. I do spend a little time on such a road, but traffic is not heavy during my ride. Commuting is a good way to build base miles. |

This one is the best best FORD
https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1426816084 However, I do love the car. 2011 Edge Sport, fully loaded. It replaced my super problematic Subaru LGT. It is nice to have a car that I don't have to work on, so I can focus on the Miata. The wife drives a 2012 Explorer. So I knew what I was getting into when I picked up the 2011. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...psumswfbqq.jpg |

It is seasonal. From mid April to first snow it is the Miata. Rest of the time it's my truck. This is the day I bought it, 3 years ago:

https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1426885247 42mpg average as DD. 27mpg while towing the Miata with "only" 800lbs overweight on the hitch, only 55mph though. 1.6L diesel with 90hp can do more than it looks on paper. |

Some great dailys in here. Some are funny, like Vlad, who has two sports cars as his daily and his 5-door hatchback as a weekend special. :dunno:
My daily changes constantly due to work. Currently repairing a wrecked 2004 S2000 for my daily. My wife's car and our road trip car is a 2004 VW Jetta TDI w/5-speed, leather, sunroof, etc. In beast towing mode (towed that Volvo, packed full of stuff, from Ann Arbor Michigan to Salt Lake City. Still got 27+ MPG. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1426888416 In trials bike hauling mode (the original reason for installing the hitch) https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1426888416 And in tight parallel parking spot mode: https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1426888416 Love this car, just wish it was a wagon. 165k miles, just barely replaced the original brake pads and rotors. Still on original clutch and it hardly feels worn. The car has held up tremendously well. |
very cool on the vdub tdi tow vehicle.
I'm in between on a wrx/sti or something with TORQUE like this vw :dunno: so torn. |

Love the bit of clatter though. New 2015 WRX FTW if you can afford it though. One of my favorite cars I've ever driven as long as it doesn't have the terrible short shifter on it. |

My DD is a 2000 Ford Focus that I've owned since 2006. Its treated me pretty well over the years, currently has 216k miles on it and still on the original clutch.
When I first brought it home https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1426999236 Lowered a little with an SVT front end swap and some Team Dynamics wheels. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1426999236 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1426999236 Katzkin leather interior https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1426999236 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1426999236 Went through a very short-lived slammed/swag phase and couldn't stand it.
