I was actually thinking of that very quote while I typed, but the point I was trying to make, Navy pilot training is VASTLY more enjoyable than AF pilot training. So while that leash can choke your lights out, if you police yourself it also makes life more fun.

Now that 2Dik is gone... here you go.

Currently NAS JRB New Orleans

My cars all suck, but this is my other ride.

I fly this, my office in the back looks like that:

Please don't think I'm lumping you with everyone else, especially 2dik. I've heard from just about everyone that the AF living situation is by far the best.

Not saying that is how the entire AF works, but it seems to be a bit more biased to that side.

yes

here in the US it is customary for young men to talk about each others mom
it is nothing personal

one might even be offended if you never took advantage of the opportunity to talk about their mom

Although that's true, guys who think their Moms aren't fukking are kidding themselves. Guys who think their Moms don't want to fukk their friends are seriously kidding themselves.

I'm pretty sure the 2Bit's Mom (Father is never mentioned so I'll assume she's single/divorced/never married) didn't join the service because there aren't a lot of men around.

Now that I think about it, 2Bit seemed like nobody ever taught him any sort of social coping skills, so can we assume he lacked a Father figure to toughen him up... maybe doesn't know who his father is? Maybe his Mom ***** a lot and he's super serial about it... hell, Lumbergh fucked her.

He called out the whole forum in his edited posts on the first page.

He didn't last long.

I went ahead and restored the original content of the first post for everyone's viewing pleasure.

Incidentally, not a single complement on his new avatar? I was really quite proud of that one. (It's the insignia of the Afghan National Air Force.)

Joe, I love you man. I love you as much as one man can love another man right now.

Holy ----, Yeah, that first page just took a new turn for awesomeness. And the avatar is full of awesome, I lol'd when I first saw it.

My only beef is some jerk raped my props during this whole shebang (I have no proof, so I'm not accusing anyone yo. But it baffles me how on-topic and informative posts got negged.), but hey. The lulz were worth it.

P.S. Thanks to Joe Perez's awesomeness, everyone needs to read Post 11

No offense to other people in the AF, I'm not comparing all of you to 2dik.
None taken. It really is luck of the draw on what station/leadership/friends/career you get. If you asked 10 people in the same career field and in at the same time frame but with different station/leadership/friends you'll get vastly different answers. I hated Security Forces. Not because of the job itself, the leaders I had were idiots. Some were better. I have SF buddies at a few other stations and they loved it, but hate the job itself. The AF does have better living conditions tho and that's what crossed me over there instead of the Army. We do a lot of deployments with them and share the same tasks, except we do nuke security to my knowledge and their MP's and infantry are separate. Don't hold me to that tho. Stopped rolling with them a while ago.
