While those statistics might serve to highlight a point...shouldn't they also be compared to white-white and black-black crime rates, as well as percent of general population?

Poverty may play a roll certainly but, alway a but in there, while blacks have twice the likelyhood of living under poverty levels as whites, they are only 20% of the total population under that level. Incredibly similar percentages and total numbers are hispanics living under the poverty level. Crime statistics of hispanic on white and white on hispanic are almost insignificant in comparison though.

Everyone claims he hasn't done anything...he's done a lot. You cant hand someone the cards he was dealt and expect him to turn it all around over night.

My point of view is this: Sure, Obama has changed the way the rest of the world thinks about our country, but how can you give a Nobel Peace prize to the leader of 2 wars? Even though he didn't start them...he's still in charge.

 

For Homicide, white on white is 43% of the total, black on black is 34%, Black on white is 18% and white on black is 5%. These are from a different gov't survey averaging stranger on stranger homicide rates over the last 30 years.

What is stunning is how high the homicide rates are for black on black, black on white. Over 1/2 of the total homicides involving blacks and whites, yet in the general population whites outnumber them 9 to 1.

White on white violent crime accounts for 63% of total white offender violent crimes with white on black at 10%. Black on black accounts for 73% of total black offender violent crimes with black on white crime at 17%. These stats are percentages involving all races so they do not total 100%.

i'm personally happy that every other country doesn't think we're dicks anymore.

 

Then what has he done? Besides make our country and people look like evil bastards who go around terrorizing the world. I cannot think of a single thing that would even be in the realm of Nobel Prize worthy.
