News to me but I was hanging out with family on Christmas. Haven't had any trouble since. Wouldn't personally know about the Ring of Death either.

I'm not trying to be obtuse. I understand that you are trying to point out major issues with Xbox and Xbox Live, but sorry. I'm still happily playing games like Gears of War, Halo 3, and CoD4 against my friends over Xbox Live. I'm glad you are having fun with your friends on PS3. I'm not sure what you guys are playing, but I'm glad you guys are having fun.

BTW, I tried to do a search on Sony's PS3 online service but I couldn't find much past the initial descriptions in 2006. I guess no news is good news.

Yeah, I was trying to avoid the cheapshot, which would be comparing PS3 owners complaining about problems with Xbox Live to a group of people playing a game of Gin Rummy complaining about the loud party next door which always ends with people puking on their lawn and throwing furniture through the window.

Truth is, one of my biggest complaints about Xbox Live is the sheer number of dumbasses you have to deal with online. It does make for better competition though and it does make a headshot a lot more gratifying.

PS. I wish PCs were still numero uno gaming, but 46" lcd is hard to get away from.

If anyone beat COD4 how do you deal with the sniping issue in Chernobyl at the Ferris wheel?

Yeah, the good news is that PC monitors are getting bigger and bigger and cross platform gaming is going to be widespread soon enough. One of the major issues that has to be dealt with though is controller versus mouse/keyboard.

SUNNABITCH. i was DREAMING about making a PS3 decision last nite..

responding to some replies: i hardly play video games. ain't no gaming otaku and definitely no online gamer. gaming falls right above "shitting" in the importance of my daily routine. i've looked at various blu-ray players and for $150 more in GC money, i can get myself a new gaming console which i hope to use as bonding time w/ the chickie at home. no more, no less. really, it's for the blu-ray and my PJ...

again, thanks for all the responses. now htf do i close this bitch?
