Seems we have lost another great rally star.

While he was not the winningest driver ever, he one of the responsible parties for bringing good rally games to U.S. soil in the form of Codemaster's Colin McRae Rally series including the most recent known as DiRT.

There's no British rally stars now... even though McRae was Scottish, the Brits still held him as one of their own. Richard Burns died two years ago from a brain tumor that was discovered just at the time that it was speculated that he would return to Subaru after Tommi Makinnen's retirement. Subaru made a special edition WRX STi called the RB320 in honor of Richard Burns as a Subaru WRC Driver's Champion in 2001. I'm hoping for a similar homage for Colin McRae considering how he brought Rallying to the Playstation generation which in turn brought a larger profit margin to the likes of Subaru.
