So...they added every bolt-on imaginable, retail cost, no custom stuff? seems like one hell of a boring way to spend 62,000. I guess this is the reason you shouldnt build up a car bit by bit with no design goals - sounds like a show car, yawn.
most likely NOTHING was retail cost, because nobody in their right mind would spend 62,000 on a miata. and elise with 10,000 in modifications sounds like a better idea to me.

Well, figure around $25k for the original purchase price... plus if you're paying somebody $100hr for labor and paying MSRP for all the parts, I could see where some retard with unlimited funds could spend $35k on upgrades... wait, no I couldn't.
Plus, the thing is hideously ugly. That's by far one of the worst colors I've ever seen on any car. The spoiler looks way out of place and is too big... and even after all that work there's no hard-top?
What I really like is the eBay style bar... that's a nice choice.

$62k doesn't get you a built motor...? Was expecting to see a 2.0, fancy valvetrane, Hydra/TecIII/MoTec, Wilwoods, extra wheels with tires... and just generally more than a bunch of chrome pieces stuck on with double sided tape.
I'm wondering if the original purchase price isn't included in the figure... What was MSRP, close to $30?

yeah that's like 20,000 in labor.
what do those guys charge, 150 an hour? more?
This car has been worked on by: Eibach Springs, Brainstorm Products, Jackson Racing(JR), Gary Shuhart of Track Dog Racing(TDR), JM Motorsports with tons of high end Miata parts and upgrades.
