I don't have a clue about what made me think of this yesterday but I remembered it from my childhood. Pretty lame compared to what kids are "shooting" now:

Oh, it projects a picture of the ghost onto a wall. The rear of the gun moves around and you squeeze the trigger to punch a hole in the picture with a firing pin. One just sold on Ebay for $122.50
