lolz, yous guys inspired me. I have an RC10GT that used to race around outside, but the thing kept breaking down, usually the pull start. Its on its 3rd engine, god knows how many spur gears I went through before I went metal, practically everything but the chassis has been replaced.

I also have a crappy electric buggy that my buddy's dad used to race, but had given up on it. I've stolen a bunch of bits off it over the years for my RC10GT, but I had recently found the battery and charger. I just went out the the shed and dug the remote from a pile of sawdust, threw in some half assed AA's, did a 10 min charge on the battery, and threw on some zip tie suspension (stolen for the RC10). I'm terrorizing my 2 yr old nephew with this thing tomorrow.

 

I used to be really really into RC cars and trucks. I only raced once or twice at tracks and spent the rest of my time racing with my friend around neighborhoods and parks/trails.

I had a brushless RC18T that I spent far too much money on. I ended up giving it so much power that with the right tires it would just stand on the rear wheels on command. I miss replacing the gears once every month...

I went through tons of other stuff, had a brushless TC3 that I ended up converting into a rally car, HPI sport 2, e-maxx, M18 road car, and a few much smaller toys (mini-z, 1/64 stuff). I sometimes wonder how much money I blew on that stuff, but looking back, it was worth every penny for the amount of fun I had with those things.

As a note to the OP, I've noticed that used RC gear prices SUCK.
