Well this is kind of a bummer:

I started using Logmein a few years ago, after GotomyPC did the same thing. Not sure what I'm going to do now... Kinda hate to have to go back to using a DDNS service and VNC...

I've been using TeamViewer for the occasional "work from home" day.

It's free for the time being.

Looks like I'll be giving that a try.

You could always pay for the service if you like what it provides you.

Don't have a need anymore but I used Teamviewer when I did.

I'm starting to think that Joe might be even worse than Scott.

Go read the tablet thread. He is fine with paying several hundred for a new tablet that he may just replace in a few months. I mean, maybe I have just grown a conscience, but $50 for a 2 year license for software you use actively does not seem that bad at all. Especially if it does everything you need with minimal work required on your side.

Especially if the other viable option is TeamViewer, which is $499 to purchase IIRC.

I will pay money for something when I derive benefit from it. If a free alternative exists to logmein, then I would derive no benefit from paying for it.

Besides, I have about 30 machines I need to access, and that sure as hell ain't gonna be $50 a year or whatever is being thrown around.
