Review: Grand Turismo Prologue (PS3)

You often win cars and other sorts of things, it's not like any motor swap in the world is available to you, however, if you have a 60's corvette, you can swap a LS-1 into, or try to work the stock motor out. Hell if you have a NEW corvette in the game you can swap in the C5-R race motor if you have the money for it.
Personally, I don't think the motor swaps are rice-y in any way. Yes they give hondas some motor swaps, they give the 240 a swap etc. But you can't swap an RB26 without swapping in the AWD, and I don't really see it as support for swapping, because in a lot of cases you can modify the engine to be faster than on you'd swap in for much cheaper. It just gives people options...which is never bad, and allows you to build a car in forza exactly like the one you actually own.

I still waiting for the real GT5 to come out. I personally didn't like GT4, to me the physics seemed wrong. The cars always seem to want to understeer. When I get bored in GT3 I would drift the tracks, but in GT4 even with all the aids off the cars still will understeer. Its really bad that online people where having to set the aids up to cause the car to oversteer.
I am waiting to see what the new Final Fantasy and the new GT game are like before I get a PS3 but I am starting to look at getting 360 for the first person shooters... Call of Duty has my soul right now.
BTW there is no point in having the PS3 vs 360 vs Wii arguements... it as simple as this..
PS3 will be better in RPG/Single player games(aka FF) and racing(GT)
360 will be better for multiplayer games(Halo/Call of Duty) and racing(Forza)
Wii will be better for multiplayer games/ kid games
There, now there is no point in arguing over the system, each system has it strong points and they overlap alittle with another and it comes down to a personal choice.

anyone know of any good racing games for the PC? (preferably F1 or LeMans type stuff)
how did the pre-release of the GT5 work? What kept it from being a full game? Only race arcade style with certain cars on certain tracks?

I am wondering what is going on with GT5 anyway.

if the driving physics suck in the Prologue, they are going to suck in the final version....even if prologue is only 10% of the finalized version. i used to be the biggest GT fanboy...then i played forza. GT was only so good because it was the best game out at the time. the driving dynamic sucks compared to forza. in forza, you can adjust eveything; down to the tire pressure. forza is the best driving sim out right now, and i dont see GT taking its throne back anytime soon. the GT series as a whole hasnt really changed much over the years...the graphics have gotten better and the cars/tracks have changed, but thats about it. the driving physics still suck. as for the car damage...its not just cosmetic its mechanical, too. how can GT be called a driving sim without something as important as realistic damage. how realistic it it to drive a car into a wall/other car without any consequence? for those who havent played forza in depth yet and are just being GT fanboys, i'd suggest really taking some time to play it...you will see the light. this post is way longer than it should have been....sorry...rant over
