Default RFL BOV probrems.

Anyone running one? I've got it adjusted all the way down as low as it'll go and I still have mad tyte JDM compressor surge. I'm tempted to cut the spring down a bit if that's what it comes down to - the thing is a copy of the turboxs and cost me 40 bucks.

Anyways, you're supposed to adjust it by putting washers in to create more spring tension, but if it's already too high does that mean I'll have to cut the spring a bit?

'96, 7psi from an SR20 GT2554, intercooled, and IDK if it's relevant but 2" intercooler pipes.

I have the same one, and I had the same problem. I ended up taking the rubber O-ring out that seals the plunger to the body. That fixed the problem, and it doesn't seem to leak. I also greased it up with some waterproof grease while I had it apart.
