I'd actually rock the **** out of that door panel. Even better if it were somehow more Japanese looking. Maybe some koi and dragons. Black background with cherry blossoms would be cool. I'm actually being serious though, and laughing at the same time. At this point, I no longer give a **** about how my car looks. I haven't washed it in probably 9 months. Last time my interior was touched was when I did the truck bed liner a few months ago.

as stupid as this sounds, that's actually functional. I have a blow-through maf setup atm. So my stock IAT sensors are in a metal tube just under that silicone elbow. The heat from the upper rad hose actually heats up the tube enough that my IAT's read ridiculously high, making my engine run like poo.
that wrap will be gone soon as I get ms2 up and running properly.

There was this kid in key west who used to go to all the local meets and never had a car. He claimed that his 550whp sti is in the shop getting "turbo tuned" and "methanol injection tuned" and "intercooler nitrous sprayer tuned".
But alas, he shows up to a meet with a subi. A wrx with a sti wing, sti hood, sti window wing thingy, sti badges, sti interior pieces and sti stickers. But....he thinks it's a real sti and starts yelling that it is and that is runs a T88 and "stage 5 rally gears" and recently went down the track with a pass of " ******' 10 seconds at like...at like 160, *****" Mind you this is a spoiled, white kid w/ parents who just bought him the car just to shut him up.
When we tried to tell him that his car was a near stock wrx (intake, fart can, bov) and that it was slow as **** and he was a gaping **** box, he would flip out and tell everyone to "run me when my ***** tuned, dawg...see what happens. Tell me my ***** fake then, dawg."
This was a few years ago and we all still joke about it. I guess I was just jealous of his car wisdom, like when he told me I needed a boost controller for my supercharger.

Pretty much nothing can. 35Rs dont flow 80LBs/Mn of air and even if they did EJ heads are not efficient enough to flow that with a T3 hot side as a limiting factor. I suppose if you had something with a ~10K redline and cams with egg sized lobes you might be able to hang on to the TQ far enough to get 800WHP. It would just have no useable TQ relative to the power level.
IIRC the 4G63 guys were starting to push genuinely over 600WHP with useable powerbands on the 35Rs about 5 years ago.
I worked with this guy years ago that claimed that BMWs numerical naming scheme was HP based. So a 325 had 250HP, and if it was a 5 series, you added 100HP to it. So a 525 had 350HP. He also claimed to be a MMA/KravMaga expert.

I used to work with this guy from Puerto Rico who had a ver typical fastandfurious civic sedan (body kit, wing, wheels, interior everything painted the same color, fart can). He actually had ***** and some skill and could throw it around the corners remarkably fast for someone with a car like that. He was also a pretty skilled mechanic which really made me scratch my head in amasment when he showed me his "water injection" kit. It consisted of a 24oz coke bottle with some tap water in it and a hose going from it to a vac connection on his intake mani. I kept asking him what it was for and how it worked and he just kind of bs'ed his way around it. Nicest guy I ever met and definitely knew more about working on cars than me, but he had absolutely no sense when it came to mods.
