Default Safe driving to all of you.

Just a timely remind that you can be the best driver in the world and still get into serious accidents.

Here's my friend:

Driver merged into her, tapped the front of her car, she swerved, lost control, smashed into the concrete barrier. Driver of the other car ran. She's alright, slammed her knees onto the dash, some fairly bad whiplash, fucked up her thumb from where it was on the steering wheel, but she's alright. Could've been a lot worse than it ended up being.

Be safe. Check your blind spots. Don't go fast in stupid places. Stupidity is never good, but when traveling at 70mph in a 3,000lb car, it can kill, especially in our little cars.

I got hit today. Driver rear quarter. The lady looked at me from her Durango and just drove off. God damn it pissed me off.

I only have one straight panel remaining on my car LOL.

Kids this is why we dont wrap our thumbs around the steering wheel while driving.

Glad to hear she's alright otherwise. **** sure does happen.

No ****. No ******* way I would let some stupid bitch hit me then drive away from the scene. I would shoot out her tires if I had to, even if that meant jail time for me. Just typical bad driving can ruin my day, so that would probably have me boiling for a week, maybe a month.

But back to the OP, glad to hear she is OK. That would also be another scenario I hope I don't get into. I would spend months driving around looking for the vehicle.

Lot happens when you panic. Sense leaves and primal instinct takes over. Instinctively, if you have no idea what the **** is going on, you generally want to cling onto something for dear life.

What's with accidents lately? There is this pretty hot little cuban girl at work, who goes out with this guy who also works where I do, he drives a '00 Mustang GT. I was at break on Tuesday and she came into the lunchroom and was on her cell phone, and 5 minutes later she was out the door. Today I was leaving and I walked out with "Mike" and I'm like, "so how's it goin Mike, you sound tired?" He's like, "Ohhh man, I'm sore..." I'm like, "from what, workin your *** off on that machine?" He goes, "No man, I wrecked my car on Tuesday." Here he claims a tractor trailer cut him off and he swerved into the other lane only to find a car in the other lane hard on the brakes, which he swerved again, spun the car out, blew a tire, and head on collided with the center median. Instant J-U-N-K. He said he was never knocked unconsious before, woke up in the ambulance.
I'm telling you guys, there is a pattern here...

The drivers education here sucks. Screw this, I'm moving to Sweden.

I've had the pleasure of running down 2 drivers that tried to do hit and runs. They didn't hit my car but that **** kills me. You have insurance there's no reason to run. Both were in SUV's trying out run me on some decent twisties.... morons.

If I stay in Atlanta too much longer, I'll end up killing someone's car....

This is why I love driving over here so much. People do some stupid ****, granted, it's going to happen everywhere, but the simple fact that staying in the right lane unless you're hauling *** and passing someone is enforced BIG TIME, saves lives. There's no way the autobahns would be half as safe as they are (which is pretty damn impressive to begin with considering the speeds that are driven on a regular basis) if people drove slow in the left lane. People don't cut you off, lock up the brakes for seemingly no reason etc...

Damn, that accident was so bad it knocked off all the yellow paint, now ites all white primer!

Seriously though.... sometimes there is not much you can do. I had a green going straight... the ahole lawyer had a blinking red left and when I was too close to do anything he turned into me Concussion left me falling down and throwing up for a few weeks and my straight no rust Miata had serious frame damge. Looks like her can did its final job.

That's also why people swerve. Usually makes things a lot worse.

She's cute - glad to hear she's ok.......

(if she was an ugly toothless redneck I'd still be glad she was ok, but it would be even more terrible if someone as cute as her was horribly disfugured in an awful auto accident)....

So tell her all the guys at MTnet are pulling for her (for a safe return to the roads)...
