It is inane because you SHOULD already know the answer. You know it'll be easier and faster with help. When I get home I'm going to ask my kid what he thinks, be he comes up with the right answer

when I dropped the motor in the corrado, it was a ******* cake walk, and I didn't need any help, but it mounts up much differently. Its better to ask a simple ******* question than hire a ******* tow truck to pull the **** somewhere to get an extra set of hands.

 

You have more drama than the OC.

Engine, tranny, diff, supercharger, suspension, brakes....all done alone at home.

I think I'll have the chicken tonight for dinner, or maybe just a few Bud Lights.

 

It's not that hard to do alone... I've pulled and installed my engine twice now solo. I haven't done a diff swap yet, but I can't imagine it being too hard solo as well.

 

It's only hard if you're a weak-*** bitch.

 

I very much would have not enjoyed changing diff bushings alone. Also busting the axle nuts loose alone may not have been possible. But a motor swap alone is possible if you have a balance bar on the hoist.

 

I wouldn't swap an engine by myself. I would install a turbo kit by myself.

It's always easier with two people. Don't you have friends?

 

I used an adjustment bar with the hoist when I installed the engine/tranny combo myself. Would have been a huge pita without it.

The diff bushings were not too difficult for me, but I was never able to pop loose the rear axle nuts. I wanted to change the rear bearings once, couldn't get them to budge, so scrapped the idea.
